Looksmaxing

1.What is LOOKSMAX or LOOKSMAXING?

Looksmaxing is more than just enhancing one’s appearance; it’s a philosophy aimed at boosting personal attractiveness by paying attention to every detail. The term itself is simple, divided into two parts: LOOKS, meaning appearance or how one looks, and MAX, which literally means maximum. The term refers to improving one’s appearance to its best version.
While women often pay attention to their appearance from a young age, many men find themselves behind in this area. For many, it’s limited to occasional haircuts without much thought about how their appearance impacts their daily lives. But what if you could invest more effort into enhancing your appeal? The idea here isn’t just about superficial changes; it’s a journey to discover the brightest and most attractive version of yourself.

The reason for the initial warning about applying care methods is due to some advice and videos I’ve come across that may lead people to try things impulsively, even if they know or suspect these practices are extreme. People may still experiment for various reasons, some of which are psychological—though we won’t delve into that topic now.

While some "Looksmaxing" practices are healthy and effective, others can push the boundaries and become extreme. We’ll discuss this in the next section. If you’re following only our articles and posts, you won’t encounter this issue, as we never promote anything harmful or extreme. However, if you browse in multiple places—as is common—you need to approach the content you consume with caution and rationality. Some individuals promote unconventional, unwise methods, and naturally, some people follow them.

2.LOOKSMAX : Extreme vs Natural Approaches

“Soft Looksmaxing” and “Hard or Extreme Looksmaxing” are two different strategies that can be applied to enhance appearance, though it doesn’t necessarily mean they will lead to improvement—in some cases, they can worsen it. The distinction between the two depends on the methods and approaches used, and anyone with a clear mind can differentiate between them. Here, we’ll provide examples of each type:

2.1 Natural Looksmaxing

Natural Looksmaxing involves enhancing appearance using non-surgical, painless, and natural methods, making it a safer choice for many. These methods include:

Hair Care Routine: Maintaining a consistent routine for healthier, better-looking hair.

Dietary Changes: Eating healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to improve body, skin, and hair health.

Hydration and Skin Cleansing: Keeping the skin hydrated and clean for a fresh appearance.

Body Fat Reduction: Following a balanced diet to reduce calories while maintaining nutrition, promoting healthy fat loss.

Exercise: Engaging in cardio and strength training exercises for improved fitness and physique.

2.2 Extreme Looksmaxing

Extreme Looksmaxing involves using surgical or potentially dangerous methods to enhance appearance. While these methods can be effective, they also carry risks and possible side effects:

Skin Lightening and Excessive Whitening: Using chemical products to alter skin tone can lead to health complications, such as allergies and irritation.

Limb-Lengthening Surgery: A highly invasive procedure with significant risks.

Use of Anabolic Steroids: These substances can have harmful effects on health.

It's crucial for individuals to be aware of the potential risks associated with extreme methods and to make informed decisions that align with their overall health.

3. Should Enhancing My Appearance Be a Priority in My Life?

This Depends on You
The decision is yours to make after you finish reading the next paragraph. People with high attractiveness live lives that you may not even be able to imagine. Those categorized as "unattractive," "average," or "attractive" inhabit completely different worlds.

It’s true that we all face difficulties, but to varying degrees. An unattractive person, who encounters many challenges, may view life from a nihilistic perspective, saying things like, "Life is suffering." In contrast, an attractive person who receives a lot of attention and positive reinforcement may say, "Life is what you make of it."

In the modern age, social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram (and you may have noticed this often and secretly wish for some of it) allow us to see the immediate impact of our appearance on our lives. Some may argue that social media is not "real life" (which is somewhat true), but it’s undeniable that most areas of life are highly competitive, and attractiveness provides a significant advantage. Just look at the impact of the "Halo Effect" to understand this, where people tend to assume that an attractive person possesses other positive qualities simply because of their appearance. This means that not only does an attractive person gain attention, but they are also judged more positively in all aspects of their life.
There are some individuals who seem to have been given everything by life from birth; they were born with natural attractiveness, tall stature, and wealth surrounding them, along with loving families that provide emotional and financial support. At a young age, they travel to multiple countries, become acquainted with diverse cultures, and learn extensive social skills even before they enter university.
When the time for university education comes, they are accepted into the best private universities, receiving top-tier education and enjoying golden opportunities to build relationships and social networks that open doors for their future. During their studies, they don’t have to worry about tuition costs or student loan debts because family wealth covers everything. After graduation, thanks to the connections their parents or environment have made, they find themselves in prestigious jobs with high salaries without the need for intense competition or long job searches.

This kind of life, seemingly perfectly tailored for success, highlights a significant gap between these individuals and those who start their lives under less fortunate circumstances. While some may struggle for decades to reach a good status, these individuals find the path paved for them. It’s not just about beauty or wealth; it’s about luxury education, social connections, and the support that gives them an unequal advantage when facing life’s challenges.
Thus, their lives are shaped in a way that almost guarantees success, making them less susceptible to the difficulties that ordinary people may face. This reality deepens social inequality and reinforces the idea that material and familial circumstances play a significant role in shaping an individual’s future, more so than mere personal effort or talent.

However, this doesn’t mean anything for you; that is their life, and this is yours. If you believe that this is what defines who you are, you are mistaken. They may outshine you in this moment and in the moments to come, perhaps for a long time, but if you envision where you want to be and how you want to become, you will struggle at first, yes, but you will eventually surpass them. The key is to change your mindset and desires and to take control of them.

Conversely, if we look at the ordinary man, who does not possess great wealth and does not have attention-grabbing attractiveness, life may seem dark and filled with challenges for him. These men lack the connections that help them climb the career ladder easily, and they find themselves forced to compete in the job market with everyone else, without privileges or support. This is the life that awaits the ordinary man. The only solution to escape this reality is to stop being ordinary. This is the only way to change the course of your life.
You are indeed lagging behind, and adhering to the rules in this game of life, which clearly does not favor you, is futile. You must give yourself every possible advantage. It’s not simple or superficial; when you take your appearance improvement seriously, you will start to level the playing field and change the circumstances of the game in your favor.

Transforming from "ordinary" to someone remarkable in appearance is the beginning of enhancing your opportunities in every area. There is no time to wait or to play by the rules set by a society that does not offer you equal opportunities. In this competitive world, you must leverage everything you can improve to achieve superiority, whether that involves your appearance, mindset, health, or lifestyle.

The Right Mindset
It may sound cliché, but "family is everything"—sorry, I mean mindset is everything. You won’t be able to wake up each day and work on your face and body if you’re not mentally prepared. Improving your appearance requires real effort.
Did you think your life would suddenly change without putting in serious effort? Of course not! Without discipline and a readiness to work, nothing will change.

A Suitable Budget
You don’t need much, or maybe nothing at all; you can start with whatever personal care products you already own. That’s enough until you have your own money to invest in what you desire.

Patience
The final requirement for successful improvement is patience. Results won’t show in the first week; it will take at least six months to see noticeable improvements in your appearance. Remember, this is a journey that requires time and attention.

Improving your appearance isn’t a quick project; it’s an investment in yourself, and over time, you will achieve the results you seek.

4.The First Step Toward...

The absolute first step in any appearance improvement plan is losing body fat. The goal is to reduce your body fat percentage enough for your facial features, like your cheekbones and jawline, to become more defined. Only then will you start to see what you truly look like without the excess.

Here is a table that outlines healthy body fat percentages by age and gender, categorizing body types as lean, average, or overweight:

Age Group Males   (Lean)   Males (Normal) Males (Overweight) Females (Lean) Females (Normal) Females (Overweight)
18-39   years    8-12%   13-20% 21-25% 18-22% 23-30% 31-36%
40-59 years 11-15% 16-22% 23-28% 20-25% 26-32% 33-38%
60+ years 13-17% 18-22% 23-30% 22-26% 27-34% 35-40%

These percentages are general indicators and may vary among individuals.

If you can't determine your body fat percentage based on your appearance, you can compare your body with someone else's in the following way: Go to a search engine and type "body fat percentage," then select images from the search options and browse through the pictures.

Then open any image showing body fat percentages and shapes, and compare your body shape to a similar one. You'll find that your body fat percentage falls within a certain range.

If you do not reach a state of fitness and shed excess fat, you shouldn't even consider extreme appearance enhancement methods like surgeries or expensive treatments. You may already have an excellent facial structure, but if a layer of fat covers it, neither you nor others will be able to notice it.

Actors like Christian Bale are known for their ability to gain and lose weight rapidly for film roles. This example illustrates how reducing fat can reveal the true facial structure that might simply be hidden, highlighting the importance of losing fat before resorting to advanced appearance-enhancing methods.

The basic idea is that you might be closer to attractiveness than you think; you just need to shed the layers that hide your natural features.

4.1 Steps for Rapid Weight Loss

Following a Low-Carb, Nutrient-Rich Diet
Choosing a low-carb diet isn't about following a "trend" but because it’s effective and sustainable. There are two main benefits to following a low-carb diet:

Reducing Water Retention: Consuming carbohydrates leads to water retention in the body, so reducing carbs helps quickly shed excess water weight.
Feeling Full for Longer: Foods high in protein and healthy fats keep you feeling full for longer, helping you eat less without constant hunger.
Reducing body fat to an attractive and suitable level (10-15% for most men) through a balanced diet and consistent exercise routine is key to achieving a more defined and masculine facial appearance, as well as improving overall body composition.

Alongside Regular Exercise, Protein Intake is Essential
In addition to regular exercise, it’s essential to consume enough protein to support your progress. Protein helps build muscle and maintain muscle mass while losing fat, contributing to a well-proportioned, strong appearance.

But how do you achieve this… percentage, body weight… it can be confusing. Don't worry; we'll explain in detail how to manage your diet by calculating your daily requirements.

I'll now share with you the simple method for doing this. It’s also the first step to developing a mindset of consistency by following a structured daily food plan and sticking to it. This is the first step to see if you’re committed to reaching the end goal.

4.2 Calculating Daily Calorie Needs

To organize your meals along with exercise and achieve ideal ratios of fat, carbohydrates, and protein based on body weight, you can follow a balanced approach that focuses on your body’s individual energy and nutrient needs. Here are the steps you can take:

First, determine your daily calorie needs based on your activity level and goal (weight loss, muscle gain, or weight maintenance). You can use the following formulas for a rough estimate:

For Men:
10×weight in kg + 6.25 × height in cm−5 × age+5

For Women:
10 × weight in kg + 6.25 × height in cm − 5 × age − 161

Then, multiply the result by your activity level:

Low activity:            ×1.2
Moderate activity:  ×1.55
High activity:           ×1.9

This will give you an estimate of the total calories you need per day based on your lifestyle and goals.

Next, determine the proportions of macronutrients (protein, fat, and carbohydrates) according to your goals:

Protein: Aim to consume around 1 gram per pound (2.2 grams per kg) of body weight to support muscle growth and recovery, especially if you're doing resistance training.

For example, if you weigh 70 kg, you would need approximately 140-154 grams of protein per day.

Fats: Healthy fats are essential for energy and bodily functions, ideally comprising about 30-35% of your daily calories.

If your daily requirement is 2000 calories, 30-35% of that would be about 600-700 calories from fat, equaling roughly 67-77 grams per day.
(Each gram of fat has 9 calories)

Carbohydrates: The remaining calories should come from carbohydrates, typically ranging from 25-40% of daily intake.

For someone who needs 2000 calories per day, carbohydrates would be around 500-800 calories, or about 125-200 grams. If you’re aiming for a low-carb diet, reduce this range to around 50-100 grams daily.
(Each gram of carbohydrate has 4 calories)

4.3 Low-Intensity Steady-State Cardio

Everyone Hears About It, But Few Do It

Cardio is not just popular; it's essential for building muscle and fighting off fat. Beyond that, it’s crucial for your health. After just one session of cardio, you’ll feel different—tired but with an incredible sense of accomplishment. Cardio is one of the most effective methods for burning fat and maintaining fitness. It relies on keeping your heart rate within the fat-burning zone for 30 to 60 minutes, though you can start with just 15 minutes.

Examples of low-intensity, steady-state cardio include brisk walking, light jogging, cycling, swimming, or even a walk in nature. Personally, I recommend uphill jogging, like running up a hill or a road that gradually ascends. You can even replicate this at home by going up and down stairs for 10 continuous minutes. Do it daily for just 10 minutes after your workout or make it a morning routine.

If you haven’t focused on these foundational steps I’ve mentioned so far, I have to say the likelihood of making progress in your appearance, how you look, and even in life is low. The information we’re about to delve into (with more articles in progress) is next-level and will transform your appearance to the point that you won’t even recognize yourself. But it won’t work if there’s excess fat. So, push yourself, break the barriers holding you back, and in a few months, you’ll thank yourself for starting.

5.Skin

Your skin is the first thing people notice about you, so it deserves special care to keep it fresh and radiant. Different skin types (oily, dry, combination, and sensitive) each require specific routines. Acne is universally disliked, while clear, glowing skin is a highly attractive feature. You’ll likely see improvements in your skin as you begin exercising, burning fat, and following the tips outlined above.

Daily Cleansing

t’s essential to cleanse your skin twice daily to remove dirt and excess oils. Use a cleanser suited to your skin type—once in the morning after waking up and again in the evening before bed.

Moisturizing

Even oily skin needs hydration. Use an oil-free, lightweight moisturizer for oily skin and a thicker moisturizer for dry skin.

Sun Protection

Applying sunscreen daily is crucial to protect your skin from harmful sun rays that can cause premature aging and pigmentation.

Exfoliation

Gently exfoliate your skin once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell renewal.

Adequate Sleep

Getting quality sleep helps in skin regeneration, giving it a fresh and healthy appearance.

Next, Avoiding What Damages Your Skin.

Starting a skincare routine is only effective if you also avoid habits that harm your skin. Here are some common factors that can severely damage your skin:

Smoking: Smoking reduces blood flow to the skin and accelerates aging, leading to early wrinkles and a darker skin tone.

Lack of Sleep: Quality sleep is essential for skin cell renewal and maintaining a bright complexion.

Alcohol: Alcohol dehydrates the skin, making it look dull and lifeless.

Stress: Stress increases hormone production that can trigger acne and other skin issues.

Dehydration: Not drinking enough water leads to dry skin and more visible wrinkles.

Excess Sugar and Lack of Vegetables: Sugar affects collagen production, resulting in a loss of skin’s natural glow. Eating vegetables can help maintain a healthy, radiant complexion.

Excessive Chlorine Exposure: From personal experience, I noticed that after each swimming session, my skin's color and texture would change due to the chlorine in pools. Chlorine can irritate and dry out the skin.

We'll cover methods to improve your skin in a dedicated section specifically for skincare. Don’t worry—this guide will be detailed, and you can simply follow it. For now, we’re preparing you for the next level, but these basics are essential as a foundation before diving deeper.

6.Teeth

There's no need to remind you to keep your teeth clean and eliminate bad breath—nothing ruins one's appearance like yellowed teeth. It's an extremely off-putting sight. Who would want to get close and talk to someone with yellowish teeth? Dental care isn't just about oral health; it also reflects self-care and leaves a positive impression. Maintaining white, beautiful teeth can significantly enhance your attractiveness, so investing in a good oral care routine is a smart step for anyone aiming to improve their appearance.

6.1 How to Whiten Teeth at Home

You don’t need to spend a lot of money for this step.

Toothbrush: Use it regularly to keep your teeth clean.

Baking Soda: An effective natural scrub, it helps remove stains and is affordable and widely available.

Toothpaste: Choose a type that meets your specific dental needs, preferably one with a green label.

Mouthwash: To boost oral hygiene and eliminate bad odors. You don’t need to buy one; simply rinse with coconut oil or soak cloves in water and use it as a mouth rinse.

Dental Floss: Essential for cleaning between teeth.

These simple items can help you achieve whiter teeth at home without much expense.

Steps to Whiten Teeth:

Prepare the Mixture: Mix a small amount of baking soda with toothpaste until you have a smooth paste.

Brush Your Teeth: Use your toothbrush to apply the mixture to your teeth, then gently brush for two minutes. Avoid applying too much pressure to prevent damage to the enamel.

Rinse: After brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to remove any residue from the mixture. Use baking soda only every two days, and avoid contact with the gums.

This method can help improve the whiteness of your teeth over time with gentle care.

7.Achieving a Better Jawline

A strong jawline has a prominent, authoritative look that many people find highly attractive. A sharp jawline is a sign of attractiveness and confidence, admired by both men and women alike.

Why is a Strong Jawline Attractive?

Physical Attractiveness: A strong jawline provides balance to the face, enhancing other features like the cheeks and chin, which improves facial symmetry.

Self-Confidence: People with a defined jawline are often perceived as more confident, and this confidence reflects in their interactions.

Authority: A strong jawline conveys a sense of strength and control, making a person appear more persuasive and appealing in social settings.

However, a well-defined jawline alone isn't enough. Reshaping the entire facial bone structure and ensuring its harmony can make a striking difference. For instance, one girl's transformation over four years of practicing mewing shows a remarkable change in her jawline and facial structure, documented through progress photos showing the impressive results.

8. Hair for man

Hair style by face shape

But above all, remember that as a Muslim (even if yoy are not) , you should avoid overly dramatic hairstyles that can appear unappealing or irresponsible. A simple, well-maintained hairstyle gives off a positive impression and reflects a strong, reliable character.

We’ll cover detailed hair care techniques in a dedicated article soon, just as we’ve done for other topics. For now, I recommend that you stop using shampoos and other chemical products and wash your hair only with water, as it is sufficient for basic cleanliness.

Tips for Choosing the Right Hairstyle Based on Face Shape:

Oval Face
An oval face is one of the most versatile shapes, as many hairstyles suit it well. Those with this face shape can try different cuts, like short hair with tapered sides or leaving some length on top for a bold and stylish look.

Square Face
A square face has defined features, especially around the jawline. Hairstyles that add length or volume on top, like layered cuts or slightly tousled styles, are ideal for softening the sharpness and creating a balanced appearance.

Round Face
For a round face, it’s best to choose hairstyles that add length, like raised styles or those with volume on top, or add side layers. These cuts help slim the face and give it a more balanced look.

Heart-Shaped Face
A heart-shaped face is characterized by a broad forehead and narrow chin. Hairstyles suited for this shape add some volume or density to the lower part of the hair to balance the wider forehead, such as long side-swept styles or layered cuts that add volume around the chine.

These are the essential basics you need on your journey to enhancing your external appearance. We’re currently preparing more detailed and carefully crafted methods on each topic individually. Each section will be published as soon as it's completed.
